Three Main Categories of Flat Roofing.

EPDM
This product has been around for 45 years and has a proven track record of being easy to install and maintain. It comes in both white and black colors that can be used to heat or cool a building depending on the climate. Obviously, a black color would decrease heating costs in a Northern environment.
PVC
Also known as Polyvinyl Chloride, this roofing system has been on the market for decades. Although it does have an Energy Star rating for decreasing cooling costs in hot climates, it’s has a very high chemical content.
TPO
This single-ply roofing system is rapidly growing in popularity because it is easy to install and durable. It also holds an Energy Star rating Thermoplastic single-ply roofing membranes are among the fastest-growing commercial roofing products and have gained broad industry acceptance for their many performance and installation advantages. As demand increases for heat-reflective and energy efficient roofing systems, thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) single-ply roofing membranes continue to provide exceptional resistance to ultraviolet, ozone, and chemical exposure.
